Larry is a fifth generation fruit farmer. He attended the Nova Scotia Agricultural College graduating with a B.Sc Agriculture with a major in Plant Science. After a few years of employment in the plant aquaculture industry, he accepted a position with Scotian Gold. Today Larry is Vice President, Agricultural Services. He provides technical advise to fruit growers providing a full compliment of services including recommendations, pesticide advise, variety and planting system recommendations, fruit tree sourcing and sales, specialized equipment sourcing, organization of investigative travel and sourcing and coordination of offshore labour. Larry is the current president and long time board member of the International Fruit Tree Association. He previously served on the Nova Scotia Fruit Growers Association, Nova Scotia Tree Fruit Research Foundation and the Grape Growers Association of Nova Scotia and is a member of various farm organizations such as the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture. Larry is a Certified Crop Advisor as well as a Professional Agrologist.
