Featured Farmer: John Eisses - Eisses Family Farm

John Eisses bought his Northville, Nova Scotia farm in 1970. Over the past 40 years, John has grown his farm to what it is today, a successful family farm of where tree fruits are the main stay. John is recognized by peers for his contribution to the modernization of the apple industry in Nova Scotia.
John was one of the first farmers in Nova Scotia to start high density planting and was one of the first farmers to plant Honeycrisp apples here in the Annapolis Valley. Two of John's five children farm with him today on the picturesque Eisses Family Farm at the foot of the North Mountain in Lakeville.
Our growers are who we are.
We’re proud of our growers and respect the story behind each farm. There’s a lot of history behind our growers with many working on farms that have been in the family for generations.
